Dirty Dancing London

Dirty Dancing comes to London. This is the classic tale of two lovers that fight not only each other and their feelings, but also the powers that be. The tale is about Baby and Johnny. Baby is from an affluential family that keeps her in the lap of luxury. Johnny is a working class stiff that has become quite enamored of Baby, but his pals and his boss forbid the relationship to blossom.

Baby comes to the rescue a few times in the production, and this makes Johnny fall all the more. The challenge for the two is admitting what is happening between them, and dealing with their own emotions. In the end love wins and Johnny and Baby are together.

The story is presented by a cast of 35. They deliver powerful performances that make you want to be a part of the action, love, and fun. The musical score consists of 37 rivetting songs that will have everyone singing along. The score includes such well known songs as, "Hungry Eyes", "Hey Baby", "Do you Love Me?", and "I've Had The Time Of My Life".

The musical score is not the only aspect of the show that will captivate you. The costumes are meticulously accurate for the time period, and are quite stunning. The dance scenes are well excuted, and presented. The cast does an exceptional job at making you believe every line and every step.

The musical Dirty Dancing, London, is being presented at the Aldwych Theater in Aldwych. Showtimes are Monday through Saturday at 730 pm. There are matinees on Friday and Saturday. The Friday matinee is at 5pm, and the Saturday matinee is at 3pm.The Aldwych does have group rates as well. They take groups of 6 to 40 and more.

It is suggested that children under the age of eight do not attend this show. Parental guidance is suggested as well. There is a mild amount of swearing in the production, as well as there are some scenes that are of a sexual natured. It is suggeste that attendees under the age of 16 are accompanied by a responsible adult.

The show lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is a brief interval about half way through the production. There are special rates for school groups as well. Tons of fun and lots of action. The dance scenes captivate. Truly a show to see.
