Las Vegas Hotelsbesides just casinos and night shows.

Golf
For those who have an itch for the putting green while they are away from their local golfing course back home, Las Vegas boasts quite a few golf resorts. There is the Las Vegas Golf Club which is not only one of the busiest golfing courses in the nation, it is also the oldest in Las Vegas. Some golf resorts have been frequented or designed by celebrated golfers such as Raymond Floyd and Jack Nicklaus. There are more than 50 major golf courses in the Las Vegas area. Therefore, it is quite easy reach to a golf course if one is staying in a hotel on The Strip.

Hoover Dam
For the history buffs, or anybody interested in technical engineering, Hoover Dam is a must see. Tours lead you through chambers with massive generators that not only light up Las Vegas but also a good portion of Arizona, California and of course Nevada. Another reason to visit is the brand spanking new bridge, known as the Hoover Dam Bypass that rises 900 ft above the Colorado River, about 1600 ft downstream from the Dam. The bridge just opened in October 2010, as an alternative means of travel from Nevada to Arizona as traffic on the Hoover Dam roadway would often come a standstill. There is a parking area in Nevada that leads to Pedestrian crosswalk on the bridge that provides a new view of the Hoover Dam for visitors of the area.

Grand Canyon
From Las Vegas, Grand Canyons is a popular destination for tours and with good reason. The Canyon has been carved out of thousands of years of erosion due to the Colorado River. The canyon boasts a skywalk where you can walk onto a platform of glass and observe the sight below. It is one of the most visited attractions in the United Stations but it is well worth the visit.
