History buffs will enjoy a visit to the Old Wellington Inn. This building dates back to the mid-16th century during the reign of Edward VI. Visitors can allow time to tour the three floors and enjoy some hearty food and drinks. If you enjoy beautiful old homes and furnishings then you will enjoy a visit to Dunham Massey. This 18th century Georgian country home once belonged to the Earl of Warrington as well as the Earl of Stamford. Guided tours allow visitors to go to 30 different rooms. Each room is adorned with furniture from the period. Outside you will find beautiful, lush gardens on the 250 acres that surround the home. There is also a Jacobean sawmill.
Aside from the rich heritage this city offers you will also have a variety of restaurants to visit. These include everything from sidewalk cafes where you can enjoy the residents taking a leisurely stroll, to some of the highest quality restaurants in Europe.
